Welcome to Steelhead Fly Anglers where flyfishing for steelhead is not a passion,
it’s an ADDICTION!

My name is Brian Paige, a second generation guide. Come join me in the spectacular wild and scenic North Cascades where we will chase Wild Steelhead, Sea Run Cutthroat, Bull Trout and Salmon on the Skykomish, Skagit and Sauk rivers.

With such large rivers, presenting a fly to far and distant lies can be a challenge! Enter the two handed rod or Spey rod. Developed in the 1800’s in Scotland for Atlantic Salmon fishing, the spey rod has swept across the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific Northwest as the steelheaders premier weapon.

The Spey rod (named after the river Spey) enables one to fish tight to the bank, have more control and keep the fly in the water longer. With today’s modern rods and lines it’s remarkably easy to cast sixty to eighty feet right under the trees!

At Steelhead Fly Anglers we will swing flies for Steelhead, throw dry flies and reversed spiders for Sea Run Cutthroat and strip flies for Salmon. Possibly all on the same day! Maybe you are looking for some private casting instruction, work on presentation or reading the water. I can customize a trip for you and your friends or arrange a corporate team building outing you’ll never forget.

Tight Lines, Brian Paige
